Yoga/Meditation/Creative/Spiritual Teachers: Host your own retreat!

Reasons to host your own retreat!

1. Your tribe will get to know you at a more personal level and will bond with each other.  This gives you opportunity to strengthen existing relationships and attract new like minded clients to your business. People grow through community. In this fast paced, technology driven world it is not only nice but necessary to take a break and take time away to share ideas, goals, struggles and successes with others around you. We need each other! Building community leads to better emotional and physical health and the bonds you make on a retreat can be friendships for life.

2. You can teach so much more. Let's face it a 1 hour yoga class is great, but if you want to go deeper into your subject matter, more time is needed. A retreat will give you a chance to both teach and reinforce what you've taught so that the message goes deep into the participant. In addition, it gives your clients a chance to bond with each other instead of running out to the next activity.

3. We all need a little rest and relaxation to avoid burnout. The best way to take some time is to draw yourself away from your normal environment and come together in a beautiful location that involves nature and history. Sometimes it can be hard to carve out enough time to do this because it could mean going far from home. This presents it's own drawbacks because some parents need to be close to their children in case of emergency. In addition, if you have to travel too far it takes away from the time that you can "retreat". Choosing a location that gets you "out" of your daily grind and yet is conveniently close to home has some great advantages! While a trip to a tropical location may be appealing for everyone, sometimes the cost of travel can be prohibitive to many of the clients that you would like to reach.
